CLUJ-NAPOCA: Ana Dumitrescu’s Licu, a Romanian Story will screen in the Romanian Days competition of the 17th Transilvania IFF, running from 25 May to 3 June 2018. The documentary was awarded with the Golden Dove at the 2017 DOK Leipzig.

The film written, directed, shot, edited and produced by Ana Dumitrescu with Jonathan Boissay through Jules et Films talks about Romania of the last century seen by Liviu Canţer (92), a man who has survived major historical events. His life story is a pretext for a film about life, memories and impermanence.

The approximately 100 shooting days took place from 2013 to 2017. The budget was 83,000 EUR, Ana Dumitrescu told FNE. Cristal Groupe was a partner of the project.

Licu, a Romanian Story / Licu, o poveste românească will be theatrically released by ROLLERCOASTER PR on 24 August 2018. Taskovski Films is handling the sales.
