FNE at Paphos IFF: Iran and Belgium Win Top Prizes at Cyprus Fest

    NICOSIA: The third Paphos International Film Festival (PIFF), which ended on 24 June 2018, announced the winners of the Audience International and Student short film awards.

    Films competed in the categories of international, local and student short films. The three-day annual festival concluded with the presentation of the Audience Awards at the closing ceremony. Awards went to films from Iran, Belgium and Germany.

    Speaking about the results, one of the organisers Sylvia Nicolaides, said, “We are very happy that the audience saw the meaning behind these films and they were very moved by them. Also, we are happy that we have two female directors with the awards, Abini Gold and Severine De Streyker.”

    Student Short Films:
