The 30th edition of the Romy Awards for Austrian TV and film productions, organised by the daily newspaper Kurier and public broadcaster ORF, was split into two separate stages, as is customary. The Academy Romys, handed out by a jury of specialised journalists, were distributed on 11 April, while the Audience Romys, the winners of which are chosen by the general public by means of internet voting, were awarded at a gala ceremony hosted by Mirjam Weichselbraun on Saturday evening, in the Hofburg Palace in Vienna.
