Cristopher Nolan to Shoot Tenet in Estonia

By

TALLINN: Christopher Nolan’s spy thriller Tenet, produced by Warner Bros., will start shooting in Tallinn in June. The cast includes David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki and Michael Caine.

The shooting will be in cooperation with Estonia’s Allfilm. Allfilm studio has previously coproduced films such as Zaza Urušadze’s Tangerines, which was nominated for the Academy Award in 2015, and the Finnish/Estonian coproduction The Fencer, which was nominated for the Golden Globe in 2016.

The project is supported by the Estonian Film Institute’s Film Estonia cash rebate incentive.

“The fact that Cristopher Nolan has decided to shoot his film in Estonia shows that the Estonian film business is on the right path. We are excited about this opportunity and are seising it every possible way. It is not only a step forward in our film business, but an economic and cultural boost to the whole of Estonia,” Edith Sepp, the CEO of the Estonian Film Institute, told FNE.

Tenet is set to be released in 2020.
