For its third session of 2019, Wallimage has chosen to support nine new projects: two series, three documentaries and four fiction features, including Nobody Has to Know [+see also:

  (working title: Wise Blood), the new film by actor-director Bouli Lanners, set to be shot in Scotland, in the English language.

Nobody Has To Know tells the story of a forbidden love between a man (Lanners) and a woman (Gina McKee) in a small Presbyterian community in the north of Scotland. The movie will be co-directed by Flemish director Tim Mielants, who made a name for himself thanks to his work on an array of international series (Peaky Blinders, The Tunnel and Legion) and who has just been handed the Best Director Award at Karlovy Vary for his feature debut, Patrick [+see also:

. Nobody Has To Know, produced by Versus Production (Belgium), is being co-produced by Prime Time (Belgium), Barry Crerar (UK) and Empreinte Cinéma (France).

The Walloon fund will also be supporting the live-action feature Toto [+see also:

, directed by France’s Pascal Bourdiaux. The cast of the movie includes Guillaume de Tonquedec, Anne Marivin, Ramzy Bedia and Daniel Prevost. The film will be staged by Superprod (France), and co-produced by Frakas (Belgium) and Bidibul (Luxembourg). The picture, which will be distributed in France by SND and has received backing from M6, looks set to be one of the major French releases of 2020.

Lastly, Wallimage is also backing two co-productions being staged in Belgium by Liège-based outfit Tarantula. Following Nico, 1988 [+see also:

, Susanna Nicchiarelli is preparing to shoot a brand-new biopic dedicated to an important female figure, Mrs Marx, which will home in on Eleanor Marx, the daughter of the famous German philosopher. The movie is being produced in Italy by Vivo Film and will be sold by Celluloid Dreams.

Tarantula is also co-producing another historical film, Ostende 1936 by German director Uli Edel (Christiane F., Last Exit to Brooklyn, The Baader Meinhof Complex [+see also:

). In 1936, a group of artists in exile, including Stefan Zweig, Joseph Roth and Irmgard Keun, meet in Ostend. The project is being staged by Rexin Film (Germany), Catpics (Switzerland) and Gum Films (Israel).
