The Land of Dreams is produced by Marco Belardi on behalf of Lotus Production (Leone Film Group), as well as Rai Cinema, in association with 3 Marys Entertainment.

Written by Nicola Abbatangelo and Davide Orsini, the film tells the fairy-tale love story of Eva (Shulha), a young immigrant who has always dreamed of becoming a singer but who currently works as a dishwasher, and Armie (Blagden), an excellent pianist blessed with a wild imagination. Together, they learn that imagination, dreams and real life can sometimes overlap, offering the true recipe for happiness. The setting is New York, in the period between the Great War and the Great Depression, at a time of music, hope and incredible change.

The original music comes courtesy of Fabrizio Mancinelli (who also contributed to the score of the Oscar-winning work Green Book, among others), the sets are by Antonello Rubino (SecurityConan the Barbarian) and the choreography by England’s Oke Wambu (Absolute Beginners, The Hunger).

Filming is unfolding in Sofia’s Nu Boyana Film Studios - where the team have reconstructed 1920s New York - and will last for eight weeks.
