Adapted by Michel Hazanavicius, the story unfolds on the set of a Z-movie veering towards disaster. Surrounded by jaded technicians and disinterested actors, the director seems to be the only person vested with the energy required to breathe life into yet another low-budget zombie film. But as they prepare to shoot an especially uninspiring scene, they’re disrupted by the arrival of the real living dead...

Final Cut is produced by La Classe Américaine (owned by Michel Hazanavicius himself), and by Brahim Chioua and Vincent Maraval on behalf of Getaway Films, together with US firm SK Global Entertainment and BlueLight. Co-produced by France 2 Cinéma, the feature film (on which shooting will continue until the end of May in the Paris region) has also been pre-purchased by Canal+ and Ciné+, and enjoys the support of the SOFICA Company Sofitvcine. World sales are steered by Wild Bunch International (who are also distributing the movie in France), with Gaga already named as the film’s distributor in Japan.
