As a general rule, the expatriates, wishing to work in the Republic of Armenia (RA), are required to obtain a visa and work permit.

Most locations are accessible.

Armenia is not an ATA member country. Temporray import is possible.

The Armenian VAT rate is 20% VAT is payable on a monthly or quarterly basis by the 20th day of the month following the relevant period of taxation. VAT on imported goods must be paid within 10 days from the date of importation. Main exemptions from tax liability are:  some financial and insurance services, training and education, scientific and research works, radio and television broadcasting, sales of newspapers and magazines, sales of agricultural products produced in the Republic of Armenia, insurance and social insurance services.

The Armenian copyright laws are focused on:  a) the relations connected with the rights of authors with respect to their works in the domains of science, literature, art (copyright); b) the rights of performers to their performances, the rights of producers of phonograms in respect to their phonograms, the rights of film producers in respect to their fixed films, the rights of broadcasting organizations to their programs, the rights of publishers to the typographical arrangements of their editions, the rights of makers of database to the database made by them (related rights); c) collective administration of economic rights.
