To obtain a permit to employ senior foreign employees in Israel, international firms must file a request with the Foreign Workers Permits Unit in the Ministry of  Interior ("the Unit").  Senior employees are defined as senior managers or managers of firms as defined in Israel's commitments under the General Agreement on Trade in Services, in the framework of the World Trade Organization (GATS), or specialists whose monthly salary is at least twice the average monthly wage in Israel。

Obtaining the proper film permits for video or photo shoots is a must in many locations. Whether it is a military installation, a religious site, a school or a building site, crews are often not allowed to film simply for not having the right filming permits. For reports, news and documentary, the film permit is often given without any charges, but it requires contacting the relevant authorities and coordination in advance.

Copyright pertains to certain kinds of works, such as literature, dramatic, musical and artistic works. Copyright is applicable in many areas such as songs and lyrics, movies,TV, plays, architectural works, computer software, and more. The protection lasts from the date of creation until 70 years after the death of the creator. It is important to note that copyright confers protection over expression and not over ideas per se. Copyright protection automatically subsists with respect to works which comply with the terms set forth in the Copyright Act.   As a basic principle, the creator of a work is the copyright owner. However, the Copyright Act provides some exceptions to that rule. For instance, in employment relationship, the default is that the employer shall be the owner of a copyrighted work if the work was made for the purpose of the employee's function of his job, and in the course of the employee's work.
